Mediterranean Harbour — Framed Print

A harbour town stacked up a hillside, ochre and rose against the water, with a dozen small boats moored below and bougainvillea running down the sea wall. Mediterranean Harbour is painted from the top of the climb — the point where you stop, turn round, and finally look at where you have been.

The original is a hand-painted work by the artist behind The Tint Therapyy. This is the India edition: the same painting, reproduced as a fine-art print and set in a slim wooden frame, made and shipped from within India so it reaches you in days rather than weeks.

Where it hangs well

There is enough blue in it to cool a warm room and enough terracotta to stop it going cold. It holds a hallway that gets afternoon light, and does something particular in a small kitchen — the scale of the buildings makes the wall feel further away than it is.

Care

Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight. Dust the glazing with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid hanging in a bathroom or against an outside wall that sweats in the monsoon.
