The Tint Therapyy began the way most studios do — with more finished paintings than wall space to hang them on.
Every piece in this shop starts as an original. Paint on a surface, worked on over days, photographed only once it is finished and properly dry. Nothing here is generated, traced, or licensed from a stock library. If you are looking at bougainvillea spilling over a doorway, someone stood in front of that doorway first.
Why prints, and not only originals
An original hangs in exactly one room. A faithful reproduction can hang in a hundred, at a fraction of what crating and insuring a stretched canvas would cost — and without the original leaving the studio.
The compromise most print shops make is in the reproduction itself: a flat scan, colours pushed until they are louder than the painting, a thin canvas over a warped frame. We would rather the print be quieter and correct. Each painting is captured at high resolution, colour-matched against the original under neutral light, and printed at 300 dpi on cotton-poly artist canvas with a matte coating that keeps brush texture legible instead of glazing over it.
How your print is made
- Painted. The original is completed and left to cure in the studio.
- Captured. Photographed at full resolution, then colour-corrected against the physical painting under neutral light.
- Prepared. The file is set up for each size at 300 dpi. Gallery-wrap edges are created by mirroring the artwork outward — never by cropping into the composition, and never by generating new pixels that were not in the painting.
- Printed to order. Only once you order. Latex pigment inks, GREENGUARD Gold certified, on canvas that is then hand-stretched over an FSC-sourced pine frame and fitted with sawtooth hardware.
- Shipped. From the production partner closest to your delivery address, so the parcel travels as short a distance as the network allows.
Made to order, on purpose
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be discounted or thrown away. It adds a few days between your order and your doorstep, and we think that is a fair trade for a supply chain with no unsold inventory at the end of it.
Getting in touch
Every enquiry — about a specific painting, a commission, a size that is not listed, or an order that has gone quiet — reaches a real person, usually the same day.
